I have always longed for a bullet specialist in old Gurgaon. I had connect with Satyendraji in Manzil motors, however once him and his team left the establishment, I was stranded. It was not logical for me to travel some 35-40 odd kms for some minor issues. So I got to exploring. The place where I landed up after all my research was Royal Motorcycles in Gaushaala. The mechanic to contact here is Satish Kumar. He's quite reticent in nature. So you'll be at odds finding out from him just what is wrong with your bullet. He'll get the job done though. He might not be as knowledgeable as people at John or Motoradd, but if you are stuck in old Gurgaon and have to drag your Bull to John or Motoradd, Satish Kumar would seem like a god to you.
Location of Royal Motorcycles
On the Delhi road it is near Eddison Hotel. The Place is called Gaushala. It is basically a two wheeler market with all kinds of shops stretched through this 1 km stretch. A place very difficult to miss.

Royal Motorcycles is part of the larger motorcycle market a Gaushala. You can get most motorcycle parts and all kinds of services from servicing to washing to waxing here. As everything is nearby work gets done faster.

Satish Kumar has a good grasp on motorcycle issues and is able to solve them with general competence. However most of the times your ride will be worked on by one of the kids under his charge who are more interested in finishing up with you and moving to the next customer. This leads to half finished jobs and repeated visits. He also does not have much experience with motorcycle electricals.
For knowledge I give it 6/10

It is very difficult to expect proper care for your ride at a place that always seems to be spilling with people. I have had experience where the rear seat bolts got swapped with front seat bolts, the wires were not insulated properly. For my rear brake problem I had to visit them thrice. Once for the rear brake, second time because wheel teeth were not lined properly and the last time because they left the Brake rod nut too loose.
For care I give it 5/10

This is an area of improvement for almost all the mechanics I have seen till date. Clean work, no loose wires, wire connectors instead of insulation tapes and proper seating and alignment of parts.

Overall ease at Royal Motorcycles
The shop is quite busy most of the times. In case you are unfortunate enough to visit them at peak hours you might be left standing for hours on end. Since the shop is next to the road there is not much space in the front to park your vehicle.

Genuine Parts
The Royal motorcycle store keeps original items for Royal Enfield. I have not yet had any complaints in that regard.

Variety/Innovative parts at Royal Motorcycles
You can get most of the OEM parts here. However if you are looking for performance improvement parts that are hard to find...well you'll hardly find them here. In fact once I was not even able to find an omnipresent chain lube like Motul in the whole Gaushala Market.

Rates at Royal Motorcycles
I found the rates here quite inconsistent. Some minor jobs he does for free and then for some simple jobs he'll ask a price that'll make you gasp. Be prepared to do some bargaining for the price he quotes for labor charges.

The shop is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. However it is not open on Sundays which is a problem.
